Jason K Gibson

Jason Gibson is an American composer born in Evanston Wyoming in 1986. After spending most of his youth in Rexburg Idaho, Jason studied Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music, graduating with a Bachelor of Music in 2013. Jason is currently studying online with Stephen F. Austin Statue University's Master of Composition program.



Sonata for Flute and Piano
This work was written as part of a masters assignment in 2017. It contains three movements, each last approximately 4 minutes. The first movement introduces us to our main characters and lets us experience their meeting. The second movement further explores a subtheme from the first movement and takes us through a windy landscape. The third movement brings our characters through the aftermath of calamity and the introduction of a heavenly messenger. Duration ca. 12 minutes
