Blindness
0:00
"Blindness" was composed between 2018 and 2019. This work is based on the episode where Judas betray Jesus. When Judas finally sees Jesus sentenced do death, he tries to give back the money he received. No one wants that money because, to them, it was blood money. Judas hanged himself on a tree, and that money was used to buy a field to burry unknown people. The field was known by the ‘blood field’ and remains until today. In Aramaic, this field is called Aceldama. This work is about the inner blindness of Judas. A little poem was written and is used to split the piece into the sections “Walking among us, he can’t see us. Walking among us, he can’t see himself. Now he sees the innocent blood when the silver tinkles the floor. Eyes are still not free while the body finds a tree. Aceldama is all he can see.”
